The background text reads "Ceaușescu Era" (or "Ceaușescu Epoch") and "The Party / Ceaușescu / Romania". The letters "PCR" are the initials of the party's Romanian name (Partidul Comunist Român). Romania's Communist-era flag (with its distinctive coat of arms) is visible in the upper left-hand corner (over Ceaușescu's right shoulder). |
