This chart shows the size of French Vikidia and Wikikids articles by size, from the 100th to the 5,000th article.

This second chart is made on the same principle, for items from rank 2,000 to the last, in order of size.

This page contains statistics of 2022 of Vikidia compared to WikiKids (these are the two most developed encyclopedias for children and they have almost the same number of articles).

These two graphs show the distribution of articles by size comparing Vikidia in French and WikiKids. We see that the 900 largest articles in WikiKids are larger than the first 900 in Vikidia in French. The subsequent articles are more developed on Vikidia than those on WikiKids of the same rank. The 100th largest WikiKids article is 1.8 times larger than the 100th largest Vikidia article. After the 900th article, the situation reverses. The 3,000th WikiKids article is 80% as large as the Vikidia article of the same rank. At the 5,000th article it is 63% (WikiKids/Vikidia) and the 25,000th article is four times smaller on WikiKids than on Vikidia.

So WikiKids has more very long articles (250 articles over 25,000 bytes versus 103 on Vikidia), but there are more medium-sized articles on Vikidia: 5,300 articles over 4,000 bytes versus 3,200 on WikiKids.
