Les Monty Python sont un groupe d'humoristes britanniques, composé de John Cleese, Eric Idle, Graham Chapman, Machael Palin, Terry Jones et Terry Gilliam.
Il se font d'abord connaître par une émission d'humour délirant, Flying Circus, sur la BBC, au début des années 1970.
Puis ils connaissent un succès mondial avec trois films très connus :
- 1975 : Monty Python : Sacré Graal ! (Monty Python and the Holy Grail) ;
- 1979 : Monty Python : La Vie de Brian (Monty Python's Life of Brian) ;
- 1983 : Monty Python : Le Sens de la vie (Monty Python's The Meaning of Life).
